GENERAL FEES

Chapter 52.12 RCW provides that fire protection districts have the general powers of a municipal corporation to carry out their purposes. In connection with its municipal functions and operations, the District incurs costs which should reasonably be offest by the collection of fees. In 2026 the District updated its general fee schedule. Resolution 2026-003 sets the current fees as follows:

  • Burn Permit:   $120.00
  • Station 23 Garage Stall Rent (per month):   $300.00 plus 12.84% leasehold excise tax
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training:   $54.79 plus $5.21 sales tax (9.5%) = $60.00 per student 
  • Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) Training:   $36.53 plus $3.47 sales tax (9.5%) = $40.00 per student
  • Combined CPR & CABS Training:   $73.06 plus $6.94 sales tax (9.5%) = $80.00 per student
  • Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) Check:   $40.00 per declined or returned check

 

PUBLIC RECORDS REQUESTS

Pursuant to RCW 42.56.120(2), the District finds that calculating actual costs for records production would be unduly burdensome. The following statutory default fees shall apply:

  • In-Person Inspection: $0.00 (by appointment only)
  • Standard Paper Copies: $0.15 / page (letter or legal size, black & white)
  • Scanned Records: $0.10 / page (converting physical paper records to digital files)
  • Digital Media Storage Device: Actual Cost (USB flash drive, CD, or DVD)
  • Postage / Shipping: Actual Cost (includes envelopes, mailers, and postage)
  • Advance Request Deposit: 10% of Estimate (required prior to processing large requests)

 

AMBULANCE TRANSPORT FEES

Section 52.12.131 RCW allows fire districts that provide emergency medical services (EMS) to establish and collect reasonable charges for those services. In 2013, the District established EMS ambulance transport billing to offset the high costs involved in providing the service to our community. Resolution 2026-004 sets the current fees as follows:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS):   $1,042.70  (HCPCS code A0429)
  • Advanced Life Support, Level 1 (ALS1):   $1,319.80  (HCPCS code A0427)
  • Advanced Life Support, Level 2 (ALS2):   $1,493.73  (HCPCS code A0433)
  • Mileage Charge:   $25.00 per mile
