Community Assistance Referral & Education Services

CARES is a free, non-emergency program. Our purpose is to support you in your goals of improved health and well-being by connecting you with the right health resources and services before an additional emergency arises. 

A CARES team member will meet with you in your home to:

• Assess housing, community connections, transportation, food and medical access, and safety and care needs that may be stopping you from meeting your health and well-being goals. 
• Follow up and foll through with your goals to completion and create new goals. 
• Share available resources and make referrals to a variety of agencies and organizations. 
• Support you through our CARES program discharge. 

Quilcene Fire Rescue (QFR) CARES serves Quilcene, Brinnon, and Discovery Bay fire districts. Olympic Connect is our care hub and partner in Jefferson, Clallam, and Kitsap counties.
